AWB Engineers provided full architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical services for Longenecker’s Hatchery in Duncannon, PA. Led by Principal Engineer Matt Morgan, the team designed a workflow that safely separated the movement of eggs and chicks to prevent cross-contamination, which is a critical challenge in hatchery operations. The result is a facility that meets strict biosecurity standards while optimizing efficiency from intake to distribution.
