From Brazil to Blueprints: Vitoria’s Journey at AWB

At AWB Engineers, we believe that every team member brings a unique story, perspective, and value to the work we do. For Design Technician Vitoria, that journey began thousands of miles away in Brazil, and continues to grow here at AWB.

Vitoria holds a degree in architecture from Brazil, where she first discovered her passion for design and construction. When she moved to the United States in 2020, she knew that restarting her career would come with challenges, but also opportunities. Initially working at a civil engineering firm, she found herself missing the architectural component of her training. That’s when she discovered AWB Engineers.

“AWB was a gift for me,” Vitoria says. “It’s not only a great company with a welcoming environment, but it’s also the place where I can truly work toward my goals.” As a Design Technician, Vitoria is responsible for creating architectural blueprints and construction drawings that serve as critical roadmaps for our building projects. Her attention to detail and design expertise add real value to the creative environment we cultivate across disciplines. Though she hasn’t begun the licensure process in the U.S. yet, Vitoria feels confident that AWB will be by her side when she does.

Vitoria has been with AWB for just over seven months, but her impact is already clear. With her motivation to learn and architectural background, she brings a fresh perspective to every project she touches. Her journey reflects what we value most: growth, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
